2020 Kia Telluride Wins Automobile All-Stars Award
Is there anyone out there that doesn’t know how great the 2020 Kia Telluride SUV is by now? The largest SUV in the Kia Motors lineup, the Telluride wins awards every month it seems. Since its release in 2019, the Kia Telluride has become known as a hot SUV to own. Most recently in February 2020, the Kia Telluride won the 2020 MAMA Family Vehicle Award from the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA). Moreover, the 2020 Kia Telluride is best known for winning the “Triple Crown” of Automotive Awards, getting in the good graces of MotorTrend, Car and Driver, and winning a category in the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Awards. Even with the troubled times, the Kia Telluride will continue to be a winner, with its latest from leading publication Automobile.

Another well-known publication in the world of automobiles, Automobile is an American automobile magazine, but has a twist. Unlike many other auto magazines and publications that post objective reviews about new vehicles, usually put through a series of instrumented tests to obtain all of their technical data, Automobile is written as if the consumers were behind the publication. Reviews of vehicles are subjective reports of how the cars operated in their naturally intended, real world environment, i.e. if a truck is meant to handle off-road conditions, then it’s going to be tested on some rocky roads.
That being said, Automobile also has a “All-Stars” list, an annual evaluation held by Automobile to determine the best new vehicles of the year. For the 2020 model year, there were a total of 21 vehicles across various segments competing for a spot on the list. Each vehicle considered for the initial round had to be new or significantly revised when made available to consumers.
All 21 vehicles were tested by Automobile editors over several days of driving on various types of roads in and around the California high desert. Every vehicle was then evaluated and received scores based on an array of criteria for each. Out of the 21 vehicles, only eight made it to the “All-Stars” list, and among them was, of course, the 2020 Kia Telluride, rated as one of the best new vehicles of the year, and definitely the best SUV currently on the market.
